Croatia approves 0.1% advanced biofuels mandate

In Croatia, not to be left behind as the European Union moves towards advanced biofuel consumption, the government has approved a 0.1% blending mandate for second-generation fuels but it could be shifted higher in 2019 depending on availability of supplies.

The government also implemented the 7% cap on conventional biofuels in line with the Renewable Energy Directive. Requirements to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2%, 3% and 4% respectively in 2018, 2019 and 2020 were also approved while public transport will be required to use only electric vehicles.
